I've seen a few references that suggest that the Sun 670MP servers will
not be supported in Solaris 2.6.

Can anyone confirm or deny this?

Supplement for Solaris 2.5.1

SPARC Server 600 series.
========================

SMCC announces end-of-life for the SPARCserver 630MP,670MP and 690MP
systems. The SPARCserver 600 series systems will no longer be suppported in
releases of Solaris shipped after March 1997.
Note-All hardware options and supported configurations dependent upon the
SPARCserver 600 series architecture will no longer be suppported in
releases of Solaris shipped after March 1997.
