Under certain solver conditions, the following sets are equivalent:
- Success set: the set of initial goals for which the
top-down evaluation finishes, plus the constraints deduced
(corresponds to the operational semantics)
- Bottom-up fixed point: the set of goals plus constraints
deduced by an accumulative bottom-up program evaluation
- Logical interpretation: the set of goals plus constraints
which are logical consequence of the program (formal logic is
augmented with the axioms necessary to characterize the constraint
domain being used)
