Dear all,

I received one suggestion from Rick Reineman <reineman1@llnl.gov>.
He pointed out that there is a program called sarcheck, which is
still under beta-testing. I received the pre-compiled software (in
a floppy disk) today. After a few trials on my previous sar reports,
it helps in identifying the performance bottleneck (with explanation,
of course). I really find it informative.

Further information can be found at http://www.sarcheck.com.

Thanks for your attention.

Here is the original question:

Dear all,

Currently, we are using sar to keep track of different SUN machines.
With sar -f and other switches on the output files, we can have a
(near) full-picture of the resources utilisation. However, it seems
that it is a little-bit tedious if I have to check them one by one.

My question is: is there any analysing tools for the sar reports?
It'd be nice if the tool can tell/guess what's the cause of the
problem (if any).

Thanks in advance.

p.s.: we are also using SymbEL for monitoring.
