My original question was about attaching a CD-ROM to the system without
rebooting.
I did the following commands before posting to sun-managers.
1) drvconfig
2) devlinks
3) disks
At that point I did a
prtvtoc /dev/dsk/c0t6d0s2
and it was seen by the O/S.
But when I killed vold and tried mounting it manually I got a 'device not
found'.
I tried restarting vold to see if vold could see it. No luck.

Soln:
I've been told sometimes attaching a CDROM in this manner does not work.
'boot -r' (PROM) or 'touch /reconfigure' and reboot (OS) is the easiest way
to do this.
