Hi all,
Firstly thanks to all who responded, special thanks to
Artur Shnayder <artur@compugen.co.il>
who was the first person to not only pointed out that I needed to use
'printenv' and 'setenv' at the prom prompt but also use 'devalias' to
look at all the aliases that have been defined.
my setting was disk3 but the alias was for sd:0,0
using devalias i found one that pointed to sd:0,0
and all was happy.
Original Message
I have a sparc 10 2.5.1 that when I boot the machine I get these messages:
Rebooting with command:
Boot device: /iommu/sbus/espdma@f,400000/esp@f,800000/sd@0,0 File and args:
SCSI device 0,0 is not responding
Can't open boot device
but when I type:
boot /iommu/sbus/espdma@f,400000/esp@f,800000/sd@3,0
the machine will boot ok.
How do I make it boot off the drive properly every time.
