Seriously, I should have read the faq, or searched the archive.
But some more considerate people actually sent their entry to help me out
Among them are
Darryl Levesque
Jim Harmon
John DiMarco
Some sample entries look like this
disk_type = "CDC Wren VII 94601-12G" \
: ctlr = SCSI : fmt_time = 4 \
: cache = 0x11 : trks_zone = 15 : asect = 5 : atrks = 30 \
: ncyl = 1703 : acyl = 2 : pcyl = 1931 : nhead = 15 : nsect = 80 \
: rpm = 3597 : bpt = 41301
disk_type = "DDI SEAGATE Wren VII ST41200N" \
: ctlr = SCSI : fmt_time = 4 \
: cache = 0x11 : trks_zone = 15 : asect = 5 : atrks = 30 \
: ncyl = 1703 : acyl = 2 : pcyl = 1931 : nhead = 15 : nsect = 80 \
: rpm = 3597 : bpt = 41301
Notice that there are other names to this drive.
It is marked as Wren VII 94601-12G. Sometimes CDC or IMPRIMIS precedes it.
One of the strangest thing is that my drive was labeled as ST41200N 94601-12G
but when scsiinfo was run it said it was 94601-15,which is 1.5G drive.
Speaking of scsiinfo, you can get this handy program at
ftp://ftp.cs.toronto.edu/pub/scsiinfo/
The site also has the FAQ.
ftp://ftp.cs.toronto.edu/pub/sun-managers/faq
Let me add the entry I cooked up with scsiinfo.
disk_type = "IMPRIMIS 94601-15" \
: ctlr = SCSI : fmt_time = 3 \
: trks_zone = 15 : atrks = 30 : asect = 5 \
: ncyl = 1919 : acyl = 2 : pcyl = 1931 : nhead = 15 : nsect = 71 \
: rpm = 3600 : bpt = 41748
partition = "IMPRIMIS 94601-15" \
: disk = "IMPRIMIS 94601-15" : ctlr = SCSI \
: c = 0, 2043735
