I have a user who's Xsession seems to hang upon logging
in to CDE.
His startlog gives the following output:
--- Thu Mar 13 14:48:10 PST 1997
--- /usr/dt/bin/Xsession starting...
--- Xsession started by dtlogin
--- sourcing /home/foobar/.dtprofile...
--- sourcing /usr/dt/config/Xsession.d/0010.dtpaths...
--- sourcing /usr/dt/config/Xsession.d/0015.sun.env...
--- sourcing /usr/dt/config/Xsession.d/0020.dtims...
--- sourcing /usr/dt/config/Xsession.d/0030.dttmpdir...
--- sourcing /usr/dt/config/Xsession.d/0040.xmbind...
--- starting /usr/dt/bin/dthello &
--- starting /usr/dt/bin/dtsearchpath
--- starting /usr/dt/bin/dsdm &
--- starting /usr/dt/bin/dtappgather &
--- execing /usr/dt/bin/dtsession...
not sourcing /home/foobar/.profile (see /home/foobar/.dtprofile)

Is there a stty or terminal problem somewhere? And where?
Thank you so much to:

They pointed me in the right direction by telling me two things:
to edit /usr/dt/config/Xservers and change the bottom from:
:0 Local local_uid@console root /usr/openwin/bin/Xsun :0 -nobanner
to
* Local local_uid@console root /usr/openwin/bin/Xsun :0 -nobanner
and to make sure the correct library files were being read in order.
The actual solution turned out to be
put /usr/dt/lib first in the LD_LIBRARY_PATH
Thanks again,
