Original question: Should I have ACL functionality on my SunOS
system 5.5, and if so where are they?
Note: I never had man pages on the commands, and still don't.
Correct answers:
ACL's come in the Core solaris package SUNWcsu, and are automatically
available. You do not have to pay $3,000 for this, even if you
are employed by Digital Equip.(hee hee)
setfacl and getfacl are in /usr/bin
You can not use them on V2 NFS mounted filesystems.
They are available on Solaris 2.5 and up.
Thanks again for all the info.
