Subject: jizz...

Something that seems to bother everyone nowadays is the lack of
credit given for other peoples' work. This is done by security
organizations time and time again. But it seems that now we are doing
exactly this to ourselves.

Examples of this can be found in programs such as 'jizz', as well
as others. I would like to state once and for all the program jizz, as
well as many other 'dns spoofers' are blatant rips of one man's code.
Johannes Erdfelt, who wrote a nice bind advisory you probably read is the
original author of this code. It has been taken multiple times.
(jizz, ajizz, erect, and probably others) No credit has been given to him.
This is a single example of something that has happened countless times.

So perhaps you can see why it bothers me when rips of someone's
program are blindly embraced by the rest of the 'community'. When a
childish code ripper is given credit for another man's work. It can not
be expected of the anyone to know when the name of the author on a program
they use is truely the author. But I believe when things like this are
noticed, the score should be setteled, the true authour given creit. This
is what I have attempted to do in this post.
