Your lack of knowledge about what BitchX is shows just how much knowledge
you actually possess.

As the author of BitchX I take extreme exception to these statements.
BitchX has no known intentional backdoors of any kind whatsoever. For
another thing, BitchX is a irc client not a script. There are over 74000
lines of c code that comprise BitchX the client. So yes there may be
unintentional holes, but then /bin/login can have these same types of
holes. Are you saying that the author of the login binary is evil? Do you
call the author of login a pimp? I guess because BitchX is derived from
epic4 irc client, hop (Jeremy Nelson) is a evil pimp? (Sorry Jeremy).

Basically you have no grounds on which to base your assumptions about me
or my intentions or my irc client. BitchX is not an abuse client.
It was designed to be used in place of the many differant types of bot's
common on irc for channel protection only. Now of course abuse scripts can
be written for this client as well AS every irc client with a scripting
language ever written.

this is in your opinion. It isn't my opinion at all. Feel free to email me
when you have something more than rumors to go on concerning backdoors in
any of various versions of BitchX the irc client. And yes there was a
bitchx irc script at one time. It had no more backdoors in it than what
you say phoenix has, as it was based on phoenix.
